Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

Katherine Yelick Receives the 2022 CRA Distinguished Service Award

Pepper Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley, as the recipient of the 2022 CRA Distinguished Service Award for her outstanding and sustained service contributions to the computing research community. CCC Welcomes Program Associate Catherine Gill!

We are excited to welcome Catherine (Cat) Gill as a new Program Associate for the Computing Research Association’s Computing Community Consortium (CCC) subcommittee. In her role, she will assist CCC staff with administrative tasks and logistical matters, such as organizing and coordinating workshops and research efforts. Most recently, she worked as an office manager for Hanover Research organized employee events and office communications. “CCC eagerly welcomes Catherine (Cat) Gill as a new Program Associate. Tracy Camp Named Computing Research Association Executive Director

Camp, currently the Department Head of Computer Science at Colorado School of Mines (Mines), brings to the role strong experience as a leader in the computing research community at the national level, a history spearheading diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in computing, and a detailed vision for leading the organization into the future.
