Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

Presentations from the Symposium on Visions of the Theory of Computing

June 18th, 2013 / in Uncategorized / by Ann Drobnis

The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) sponsored the Simons Institute Symposium on Visions of the Theory of Computing.  The three-day symposium brought together distinguished speakers and participants from the Bay Area and all over the world to celebrate both the excitement of fundamental research on the Theory of Computing, and the accomplishments and promise of computational research in effecting progress in other sciences — the two pillars of the Institute’s research agenda. More than 300 people were in attendance to hear these world-renown speakers.  You can view videos of the presentations here.
