Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

About the CCC:

The Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is a standing committee of the Computing Research Association (CRA), which represents over 220 North American academic departments, industrial research labs, and professional societies with computing research interests.  The CCC is funded through a cooperative agreement between the CRA and the National Science Foundation (NSF).  Its goal is to provide leadership to the national computing research community — catalyzing and empowering the community to identify and pursue more audacious, high-impact research, all the while attracting bright young talent and fostering development of the next generation of leaders.
