Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.

Amazon Research Awards Call For Proposals

The Amazon Research Awards (ARA) program has opened a call for proposals for the 2017 round of awards in a number of areas including computer vision, general AI, knowledge management and data quality, machine learning, machine translation, and natural language understanding. For the full list of topics, please see this website. The program is open to faculty members in North America and Europe and awards up to $80,000 in cash and $20,000 AWS promotional credits. Submission Requirements Project proposals should be a maximum of 4 pages (single column, minimum 10 pt font), plus 1 page for references, plus CV.
