Computing Community Consortium Blog

The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.


Global City Teams Challenge Expo- June 13-14, 2016

Global City Teams Challenge logoThe 2016 Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) Expo will take place in Austin, TX at the Austin Convention Center June 13-14, 2016. The Expo will showcase GCTC Action Clusters and will feature speakers and panelists on a wide range of smart city topics. The two-day event will include an exhibition space in which trade-show style booths will be made available to 2016 GCTC Action Clusters.

If you would like to propose a new 2016 GCTC Action Cluster and would like to have the opportunity to present and exhibit at the 2016 GCTC Expo, please submit the following information by April 29, 2016:

  • Project worksheet for the proposed Action Cluster
  • A list of all Action Cluster participants and their contact information

If you are the Team Lead for a 2016 GCTC Expo Action Cluster and if your Action Cluster intends to present and exhibit at the GCTC Expo on June 13-14, please provide the following information to Mariya Cherk (mariya.cherk@us_ignite.org):

  • A List of all Action Cluster participants and their contact information – please identify the name of the person or people who will represent your Action Cluster’s municipal partner(s) at the GCTC Expo. If at all possible, a municipal representative should be a part of all presentations at the GCTC Expo.
