The Center for Discrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science (DIMACS), founded as a National Science Foundation (NSF) Science and Technology Center, has announced a one-day workshop designed for researchers who aspire to participate in NSF’s Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) program. The goal of this workshop is to help aspiring SaTC PIs understand what NSF (and NSF review panels) are looking for in reviewing SaTC proposals, with the goal of increasing the quality of submitted proposals and, in turn, the percentage of proposals funded. The goal of the Computing Community Consortium (CCC) is to catalyze the computing research community to debate longer range, more audacious research challenges; to build consensus around research visions; to evolve the most promising visions toward clearly defined initiatives; and to work with the funding organizations to move challenges and visions toward funding initiatives. The purpose of this blog is to provide a more immediate, online mechanism for dissemination of visioning concepts and community discussion/debate about them.
